Country Summer, Santa Rosa Fairgrounds
Visit Sonoma County for Northern California’s biggest country music festival of the summer. At the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, expect more than 20 artists to take the stage at the Country Summer music festival happening June 17-19. Thousands of country fans visit Sonoma County every year to see country icons like Blake Shelton, Chris Young, and Kelsea Ballerini.
While in Santa Rosa, don’t miss the acclaimed Russian River Brewery in the heart of downtown. Enjoy a light dinner of shared plates and craft cocktails at Bird & The Bottle, or unwind with a fancy dinner at Stark’s Steakhouse in Historic Railroad Square. Then, make plenty of memories alongside other country music fans making their way to the Country Summer concert series.
Petaluma Music Festival, Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds
The Petaluma Music Festival is one of our favorite community events for live music. Hosted at Petaluma’s Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds, all proceeds from the festival benefit musical education programs for Petaluma’s schools. Each summer, over a dozen bands, join the stage to play tunes from pop to folk-rock.
Before the festival, grab a bite at The Bagel Mill and a hot cup of locally-roasted coffee from Petaluma Coffee & Tea Co. Afterward, unwind with a Lil’ Sumpin Sumpin ale from Lagunitas Brewing or late-night dinner and libations at downtown’s Speakeasy. When you’re at the festival, you’ll have the chance to support local business vendors, food trucks, and support the arts at this Sonoma County event.
Healdsburg Jazz Festival, Downtown Healdsburg
Sonoma County is celebrating its love for jazz music June 13-19 at the 24th annual Healdsburg Jazz Festival. Head to this charming wine country town for a week of jazz, wine, food, and art. Packages are available by the day, the weekend, or for the entire week. This year’s featured artists include Bobi Céspedes, Charlie Musselwhite, and Dave Holland.
In between shows, visit Willi’s Seafood Bar for tapas, shared plates, and plenty of Sonoma County wine. Enjoy a romantic dinner at Bravas, or cool down with treats from Noble Folk Ice Cream and Pie Bar. Return to the festival for intimate dinner shows, theater performances, and to see some of the best jazz artists in the country.
Valley of the Moon Music Festival, Sonoma
The 8th annual Valley of the Moon Music Festival made history in Sonoma County as the first event devoted to classical and romantic chamber music on period instruments. Interestingly, these classic instruments create a more natural and delicate sound than modern instruments. Taking place over three weekends in July, this festival is a delight for classical music lovers from July 16-31.
Before the festival, stop by Sunflower Caffé for a nutritious and satisfying breakfast. Later, be sure to visit Loxton Cellars for a tour and wine flight.
