PLACES TO EAT IN SONOMA VALLEY

HARVEST MOON
Features a daily changing menu using local harvests, and farms that embrace the philosophies guided by principles of sustainability. The owners Nick and Jen are both graduates of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park N.Y. where they met. After multiple visits they eventually settled down here, opening Harvest Moon on the Sonoma Plaza.

THE SWISS HOTEL
Located right off the Sonoma Plaza the Swiss Hotel is known as a locals favorite for it’s historic bar, signature drinks and well rounded pleasing menu. In addition they offer wonderful event space and private dining rooms.

EL DORADO KITCHEN
Serves a contemporary California cuisine in an atmosphere that embodies a sophisticated, yet relaxed, wine country spirit. EDK is open daily for Breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. Their award winning menu highlights Sonoma ingredients that change with the seasons. You’ll find the wine list includes mostly local Sonoma and Napa Valley wines, alongside signature cocktails crafted using only the finest spirits and fresh juice infusions.

DELLA SANTINA
Featuring traditional Tuscan soul food and situated just off the Sonoma Historic Plaza. The seasonal menu features handmade pastas, rotisserie meats, daily fresh seafood, as well as salads and sides that celebrate the bounty of the region.

GIRL AND THE FIG
“Country food with a french passion” is the best way to describe the menu at Girl and the Fig. You’ll find many local ingredients sometimes harvested by Girl and the Fig staff themselves.

MARY’S PIZZA
Looking for an easy family meal that delivers? Mary’s offers a full menu with a wide range of options from pizza to chicken parmigiana and all the pastas in between. You can also dine in at the their family friendly location on the plaza off of Spain St.

SIGH
If you like bubbles this is your spot! Named one the of the top 25 wine bars in the country by Travel & Leisure. Originally Sigh opened as a champagne bar offering quality sparkling wine, but now have also added still wine, beer, and light bites to their menu.

STARLING
This place brings a whole new meaning to signature cocktails. The enthusiasm about their drinks, is equally felt in their flavor of music. In addition to their vinyl record collection and playlists they present an eclectic mix of local bands, DJ’s and performances, as well as, national talent.

B&V WHISKEY BAR & GRILLE
Located right on the Plaza with a modern wine country look and feel B&V’s full bar has become a popular hotspot for nightlife fun!

SONOMA SPEAKEASY
Voted 2018 BEST Live Music Venue in the North Bay by the Bohemian. It is small and cozy sure to give you that speakeasy vibe. You’ll find it off the beaten path located on the Sonoma Plaza. Stop in for a glass of beer or wine and a fun dance environment.

THE REEL FISH SHOP & GRILL
The Reel is known for hosting live music with plenty of room to dance and often hosts large events. They were recently named one of the 50 Best Restaurants by Sonoma Magazine and voted “Best Music Venue” in 2018.

Other local bars located on the Plaza include Steiners, Town Square, The Swiss Hotel (try one of their signature drinks), or Maya known for their vast selection of tequilas.

GARDEN COURT CAFE
If you are looking for a home town locals favorite breakfast or cup of coffee you are sure to find it here in this downtown Glen Ellen staple.

Glen Ellen Star specializes in a wood-fire cooking technique that brings the best flavors to your table with their California inspired dishes.

THE FIG CAFE

The menu consists of Nepalese-Indian fusion dishes. Yeti is also a locals favorite and sure to please out of town guests as well. The beer and extensive wine list encompasses local and international selections.

Offers a robust seafood menu and oyster bar, with a la carte main dishes ranging from red snapper and lobster to Filet Mignon and duck breast and seasonal sides.

Looking for a casual meal that will fill you up? Cafe Citti is a trattoria style restaurant in the heart of the valley with great food, great value and a great atmosphere. Featured on Diners, drive-ins, and dives their family style menu is sure not to disappoint.
